1) Remove any unsafe equipment/objects

2) All rooms in the church will be processed one by one

3) Each room includes (pastoral and admin office)

Just take out the discarded items and put them in the box set up next to it (with instructions)

  1. New Sermon Series for 5/25 – 6/29

For the first part of this year we have been exploring the first two statements in the annual theme for our church: Reviving and Rebuilding. In the coming weeks, as we prepare to go on a missions trip to Casa de Luz in Mexico and run our Summer Soccer Camp, we will begin looking at what it means, and what it might look like in our personal lives as well as a church, to begin Reaching Out. The title of the series is People of the Open Door and we will be exploring the themes presented in a book by John Ortberg, All the Places to Go, both in our worship service as well as our adult Sunday School.

  1. 7/5-12 17 members will join the Casa de Luz Missions Trip. Please pray for the preparation.
  2. For those who want to serve in the STEM Program in September, there is a one-day training scheduled for Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For registration, please check the registration link here.
  3. 6/22(Sun, 3-5:30pm) English Plan to Protect Training ˉ Orientation on Zoom. No Chinese Training this year. It is MANDATORY for all senior, children and youth workers to attend once a year. New volunteers are recommended to join this orientation training. Register before June 8 with Miranda Fong & Angel Lee : . If you want to join the group Zoom training in room A10, please let Miranda or Angel know.
  4. 2025 First Aider Roster is on the Admin board upstairs and downstairs. There will be no in-house group training this year. If any church volunteer need to be trained, contact before registration

  1. Welcome to Mother’s Day English/ Cantonese/Mandarin Joint Service @ the sanctuary, the Gym, and A8. Let’s show our appreciation to all the mothers! Children will be worshipping in the gym, accompanied by their parents. After the Prayer time, children of K-Grade 1 will go to room A9 and Grade 2-6 will go to room B7 for a special program.

The earphones for Mandarin translation are ready for pick up on the reception desk.  The sermons will be uploaded to our YouTube channel at 2:30 pm. There is no In-Person English Sunday School today.

We have started a new sermon series following the season of Lent in preparation for celebrating Easter. The series is called Faith Odyssey and will take us on a journey of faith following Jesus to the cross and beyond to the new life that is ours because of the resurrection.

  1. 7/5-12 17 members will join the Casa de Luz Missions Trip. Please pray for the preparation.
  2. 7/19 Church Picnic @ Mundy Park in Coquitlam, please register to get the meal coupon from 6/15. Registration fee per person after subsidized by the church: free for age 4 and under; $5 for age 5-12, 70 and over; $10 for age 13-19; $15 for age 20-69. Free for church gatherings’ new comers of Jan. ˉ July or new non-Christian friends with registration.

If you prefer to bring your own food, you are also welcome to join.

  2. Casa de Luz Missions Trip Update

A planning meeting for our missions trip to Casa de Luz is planned for Saturday, April 12th at 1:00 p.m. It will be held at the church in Room B7. We will be looking through a catalogue of possible ministry opportunities that Casa de Luz has sent us and making some initial decisions about what we will be able to do there. All team members are encouraged to attend. For those who cannot be there Pastor Don would be open to talking and/or meeting with you.
