  2. Excerpts from the ad hoc DB Meeting on May 21, 2023：
  • Isaac Tak Hong Man has been invited to serve in the role of ministry director for HK newcomers, with a minimum weekly commitment of 10 hours and the option of flexible and condensed working hours. The starting date is to be negotiated.
  • A Mandarin pastoral search committee comprising Oliver Chan, Bernice Fung, and Ade Huen has been appointed to report to the deacon board under the leadership of Pastor David. The committee will focus on the details pertaining to the appointment of a part-time pastor for the Mandarin congregation, with a minimum average of 22 hours per week.
  1. Staff news: 6/8-12 Pastor David preaches in the Bay area at a jointed Bible conference. 6/13-14 Staff Retreat.

Prayer-Gospel-Mission-Bible-Caring

  1. A member of the English congregation is on a short-term mission trip to Ottawa with Power to Change from May15 – June21 with sponsorship from the Mission Department. The team provides outreach and assistance to mission organizations in Ottawa. Please pray for the short mission trip

  2. 6/24 Church Picnic @ Burnaby Confederation Park, please register with Tom Tsang to get the meal coupon. Registration fee ($5 subsidized by the church): free for age 4 and under; $5 for age 5-19, 70 and over; $15 for age 20-69. Free for new comers of April – June with registration.If you prefer to bring your own food, you are also welcome to join.

  2. 「Family Breakfast」(Today – June 11 on Sunday) 9:30am food served until no food is left, 10am food line closes, 10:05am clean up. Come to the gym and fill up your stomach before filling your heart with God in the 10:15am English/Junior Service, Cantonese Sunday School, or Mandarin Service.
  3. 8/26(Sat. 1-3:30pm) English Plan to Protect Training – Refresher @ ZOOM. It is MANDATORY for all senior, children and youth workers to attend once a year. New volunteers are requested to join an orientation training. Register with Miranda Fong :
